Munsbach Castle

Munsbach Castle is located in the middle of a spacious park in the village of the same name.

The main building was constructed in 1775 as a manor house and received its present castle-like appearance at the end of the 19th century through the addition of several towers. Although the building itself is not open to the public, a visit to the surrounding park – especially the mindfulness trail and rose garden – is highly recommended.

The mindfulness path

The mindfulness trail in the castle park was created to encourage visitors to consciously perceive their surroundings. The circular path leads to nine stations where information panels and audio meditations present practical mindfulness exercises. The meditations are available in four languages and can be accessed via QR codes using a smartphone.

The park is open to the public at all times and is fully accessible. People with visual impairments can experience the trail through a special audio guide that describes the route. Tactile ground markings, easily detectable with a white cane, help visitors locate each station. The park is also well suited for elderly people, families with children, and dog owners.

The Rose Garden of Munsbach Castle

The rose garden, located directly in front of the castle, is open to the public free of charge. It features around 600 rose plants – both historical and modern varieties from Luxembourg – and contributes to the preservation of the country's national rose heritage. The garden offers visitors the opportunity to explore the rich diversity of Luxembourg's rose cultivation in a well-maintained setting.
